After two stops in July, the 20chocolate Downhill Cup series continues next weekend in Sljeme above the city Zagreb, Croatia.
After the »test race« at Golovec and the races at Petzen and Soriška planina, the Slovenian 20chocolate Downhill Cup continues next Sunday, 24 October, in Croatia. The venue will be the one that was resurrected after 17 years to close the 2022 season: the DH Legends track through the ski slopes and forests on the northern slope of Sljeme mountain above Zagreb.
This will also be this year’s Croatian National Downhill Championships, the only official downhill race in Croatia this year, alongside the iXS European DH Cup race in Lošinj.
Downhill Legends
With a length of about 1900 m and an elevation drop of 270 m, it is not one of the longest runs and also has some fast sections. So when the two-time Slovenian champion Luka Berginc drops in, you get a time of one minute and 45 seconds, the 2022 winning time.
The DSR – Bike Park Sljeme team, led by Croatian downhill veteran Nino Ružička, will surely have the track well prepared again and the DH Sljeme 2023 will be ready to start! Unfortunately, the chairlift was damaged by the summer storm, which also caused a lot of extra work on the course, so the transport to the start will be by shuttles.

Schedule
The race is a one-day event with practice on Sunday morning from 9.15am to 1pm, seeding run from 1.30pm and the final from 3.30pm.
Riding on the course is possible the day before, reservations are required for the shuttle service.
Registration closes on Friday night before the race.
