2024 Trophies Awarded

In Kranj, during the closing event of the Mountain Biking and BMX Committee of the Cycling Federation of Slovenia for the 2024 season, trophies were awarded to the best riders in the 20chocolate Downhill Cup series.

We are happy that after the “test event” in March, we have held 6 points races, two of them abroad. It’s quite a miracle that we got six different winners in the men’s category.

The National Championship in Kranjska Gora was conducted in a new way, with the OGK KZS team putting on a “turnkey” race for a local host.

Our riders did well in the international competition: we have a European U17 champion and an elite riders on podiums of the women’s World Cup races, as well as an iXS European Cup winner among U15 boys.

For the 20chocolate Downhill Cup, the awards were presented by Slovenia Cycling President Pavel Marđonović and Secretary General Žiga Primožič.

Cyclist of the Year

Recently, downhill racers were also on stage at the Slovenia Cycling’s Cyclist of the Year event. There, Monika Hrastnik was named Mountain Biker of the Year and Ažbe Kalinšek Young Mountain Biker of the Year, while Jure Žabjek received an award at the end of the competition.
